Beautiful and very detailed completed tapestry of Mrs. Siddons by Gainsborough. The colours are clean , vibrant and clear and there is no sign of degradation. The Tapestry is un framed but has been tacked around the edges to a hardboard backing(please see pictures). The tapestry, estimated to have been completed in the 1970’s/1980’s is 45 cm wide by 60 cm’s long. All proceeds from this sale will go to our local Church roof fund. The embroidery is very fine, with excellent detail of the hands and face.
