A substantial 19th-century French shop counter, sourced directly from a haberdashery (mercerie) in Limoges, France. The base is constructed in solid pine with six raised moulded panels to the front. Dry scraped back to bare wood, retaining traces of original red painted detail within the mouldings. The top is three-board oak, oiled, with honest age and wear consistent with decades of commercial use. Open shelving to the interior rear, as original. At 305cm long this is a serious statement piece — suited to retail, hospitality, a large kitchen, or as a centrepiece room divider. Measures 305cm long x 83cm deep x 83cm high. Sold as found. Patina and wear as shown. More photos to come
