Large 17th C Liturgical Vellum Manuscript Illuminated Two Page Gregorian Chant

This is a Catholic document dating from the 15th to 17th century. Commune Apostalorum. Similar pages are referred to as "IIluminated" pages and are used for the choir to read from in the tablets of Gregorian chant. This is a double sided piece starting from Page1 of the Common of the Apostles, an Antiphonal sheet hand drawn on vellum and made from lambs hide. It is the beginning of the Introit, Psalm m138:17. From the Latin, it reads: "But, for me O'God your friends have been greatly honored. Their principality is exceedingly strengthened." A rare find in an old attic. This manuscript measures 22" X 31".
