Vintage Royal Navy Painted Metal Plaque Tampion Crest I recently bought a huge collection of metal Ships Crests , Tompians and Plaques. They had been removed from the ward room of a ship being broken up at Southampton and had been collected during her service on the high seas. This Plaque / Crest / Tampion is made of solid alloy metal mounted on thick mahogany and measures nearly 10" in height and weighs 3 pound APPROX.
