The internal top shelf is very thick toughened glass, the idea being the light can trickle all the way through. The TV Stand slides out, the cupboard under the TV stand also has a twin plug. This is a very substantial and well-made cabinet, exceptionally heavy, made in the Military Campaign style with flat folding handles and brass hardware.
