With the scraped back paint, beautifully turned front legs, and spindle detail to the back these chairs have been heavily influenced by Gustavian Neo-classical furniture making principles, along with the hand carved rosette flower motifs on the front apron of the seat, the carved detail on the stiles and the bowed serpentine seat front.
