"THE COLUMNS OF MARBLE FROM THE PYRENEES SUPPORTING THE GALLERY OF THIS HALL WERE FASHIONED NEAR MONS WHERE - DUE TO ENEMY OCCUPATION - THEY WERE DETAINED THROUGHOUT THE GREAT WAR. The large oval shaped plaque weighs in excess of 5 kg and is made from cast bronze which has then been gilded.
