Superb George III Mahogany & Walnut Veneer Leather Clad 3 Step Commode c.1800 This stunning piece of Regency period furniture is in great used condition, with the odd imperfection commensurate with its age & use. Originally, this was used as a commode and still smoothly functions as one ,but it now ideally would only be used as a sturdy library or household set of steps or stepped plant stand. The frame is veneered in Mahogany & Walnut fascia’s, fitted with leather treads to the 3 steps which all sits on turned feet. Overall, it measures 28”L x 17”W x 26”H, 2nd step 17”H & bottom step 8”H.
