This is an original Shipibo Tapestry that I picked up while. On an Ayahuasca Ceremony in the jungle with a tribe. The way it was created is 2 women tribe members both drunk the brew and then sit back to back. As the visions begin 1 lady starts to sing what the spirits are showing her through the vision and the 2nd lady then begins to sow the designs according to the song being sung and her visions. What you see here is the end result of that journey. Hence this is a 1 off fully original piece of shipibo art that they belive holds magical protective powers and properties. Not produced for the consumer market. The quality of the needle work and perfection of the whole design cannot be done justice by the camera. Nor does it show the beauty of the colors.
