Charming French petit point picture in original black and gilt frame. The subject is a spray of Morning Glories worked in micro stitches on fine silk gauze. The colours are fresh and un-faded, the aperture has a gilt trim and measures 60 cms in diameter, the glass is convex. The front is 125 x 125 cms, the back 105 x 105, there is a bevel front to back. There is a small metal hanging loop. Condition is excellent with a small indentation on either side of the frame near the bottom, these cannot been seen from the front and hardly show.
