Antique 19th Century French gilt metal casket, c1880. It has lovely Art Nouveau styling and is heavy for its size. The casting is good quality with ornate decoration including scroll work and a mask on each corner of the casket. It appears to have the original interior lining and overall condition is good with only minor age related surface wear as you would expect from something that is over 100 years old. It has a great decorative look. Size: 14cm tall x 17cm long x 12cm deep. 1.5 kilo.
