AFTER MATHURIN MOREAU, 1822 - 1912, ‘PRIERE DU MATIN’ (MORNING PRAYER), A FIGURE OF A SEATED YOUNG GIRL KNEELING ON A CUSHION IN PRAYER. (h 17cm x w 11cm x d 11cm) It weighs 1.1 kg. I am unsure whether this is bronze, brass or spelter but I think probably brass. There would have been a marble base at one stage but that is now absent. Even if it’s a modern reproduction it remains an attractive ornament.
