Finnigans was established by Brian Finnigan in Manchester in 1830. They ceased trading in 1988. The hallmarks, on the outside rim of the lid, are well struck and clear to read. They show the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the leopard's head assay mark for London, the date letter o for 1909 and the Fs Ld sponsors' mark for Finnigan's Ltd.
