A very fine Austrian Bronze animalier bronze study of a standing pheasant with excellent naturalistic cold painted colours and fine intricate detail, signed with the Bergman ‘B’ in an amphora vase. Franz Bergman (1861–1936) was one of the most celebrated Viennese makers of cold-painted bronze sculptures, renowned for his highly detailed and often exotic subjects.
