Beautiful Early 19th Century George III period burr yew wood box of rectangular form with elegant ebony style stringing and chamfered corners. The box features a richly figured burr yew exterior with a lovely deep colour and patina developed over the years. Interior lined in green fabric and fitted with original style lock and key. A very decorative antique piece, ideal for use as a tea caddy, jewellery box, keepsake box or display item. Condition is very good for age with light age-related wear and minor marks as expected from a genuine antique piece. The lock works well and comes with key.
