The complete survival of the cellaret is particularly noteworthy, as such fittings were commonly removed or altered during the 19th century. A rare and important example of an early 19th century English mahogany breakfront sideboard, retaining its original fitted wine cellaret in unaltered condition, a feature now seldom encountered and indicative of a piece made for a household of status.
