A delightful item, a sad sale but I’m letting some treasures go. Cyples Old Pottery, England. Embossa Ware. Black metal. Despite the company name this isn’t pottery. 1930’s I was told when I bought in a Whitstable antiques shop many years ago. Embossed, raised. Japanese theme. I have used this in multiple ways, sensational (I lined it) with spring bulbs indoors. The paint etc is worn inside & out however I feel this timeworn appearance just adds to the allure. 26cm across point to point. 12cm tall (feet to top). 9.5cm tall inside.
