CODEX BORBONICUS or CODEX CIHUACOAT. TheCodex Borbonicus is an Aztec codex written by Aztec priests shortly before or after the Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire. The Codex Borbonicus is one of a very few Aztec codices that survived the colonial Spanish inquisition.
