This is a charming Coalbrookdale cast iron footed bowl / dish / hot plate, featuring Neptune, Sea Nymphs, Fish, Sea snakes, Swans and a Horse. Dates to around 1880 Coalbrookdale foundry produced a wide variety of cast iron items in the area where the world's first cast iron bridge was built, in a place since known as Iron Bridge, and did so from the early 1700s, until 2017 when it was closed This beautiful piece has a lovely patina and rustic charm, and is in its original two tone black and gold.
