bin vintage travelling leather trunk 1941 Possibly Army Big And Heavy. This trunk has seen some action, it’s made of thick tough leather And weighs in at about 12 kgs , the buckles are steel and rivets are brass I believe . The string/cord holding it together has deteriorated in many places so could be restored into an amazing quality trunk. There’s wooden planks at the bottom , the handles and straps all seem to be very solid, the leather must be over 5mm thick on some parts . It’s got a date of 1941 embossed on it so may well be army and used in the war but possibly used as domestic litigate.
