A rare and unusual copper side pour teapot made in the traditional hand made way with dovetailed joins to the metal down the body and around the base.The lid is on an hinge with a brass round finial to a stepped lid and the handle stay to the body is fixed with three rivets and is marked with a '3' probably to denote its capacity is 3 pints. Made by the firm of Benham and Froud of London who made all manner of quality copper and brass domestic wares. Rather unusual and away from the norm of run of the mill copperwares. It measures 7" high and is 12" wide and 10" deep and is in a very good condition.
