I’ve had the pleasure of owning a number of these lovely antique copper kettles over the years and I can say this is a particularly nice one and has been well cared for. Mainly made of copper with accents of brass, including the finial, this example is beautifully seamed and has barely a blemish on it. At some point in its distant past green felt baize has been added to the bottom so that it doesn’t make scratches. This is not hiding anything untoward and the base is solid and in good order.
