A lovely tapestry fire screen. We date this screen to the late 19th century. The screen is raised on lovely bobbin turned legs at the side and has a well turned stretcher for support. There are ornate carvings to the base and feet. The tapestry consists of a floral and foliate design with a glass front. The screen is 45" (114cm) high, 20.5" (52cm) wide and 24.5" (62cm) deep at feet. This lovely screen remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. This includes some minor indentations and wear around the frame and feet. This remains a stylish and elegant fire screen which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
