This is an incredibly interesting and beautifully carved oak mirror signed by E. Muir and dated 1909. The name of the artist would suggest that this piece may be of Scottish origin. But I this cannot be confirmed. The detail in the carving is incredible. It is a lovely dark rich colour with amazing patination. It measures 76cm by 57cm. It has a bar across the back to presumably secure the mirror and give strength.
