Art Nouveau style pewter snuffer tray with moulded scroll decoration. Snuffer trays were commonly used during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries as accessories for candle lighting. They were placed beside candlesticks to hold candle snuffers and to collect extinguished wicks after trimming.
