An Art Deco silver-mounted turquoise banded onyx desk inkwell combined stand pen / quill Holder with a hinged lid - a fine quality piece by Henry Griffith & Sons Ltd, London Hallmark dated letter "k" for year 1925. Condition: the glass liner has crack hairlines and is stuck inside the well (with dry ink); some age discolouring to banded turqoise inlay; the main onyx has some chips, nibbles and tight hairlines, one raised onyx foot under base has a white plastic replacement which allows the inkwell to stand level with other three original onyx feet; apart from this it is good overall condition and displays - see 24 magnified photos as part of condition detail description.
