This is a very old wooden pencil case with three layers: Slide the top away to reveal one compartment, then you can swivel that layer away to reveal a second underneath that. And finally, a third layer slides out from the bottom. These were very popular in the mid-1900's, and this example is still useable, but is well worn, and shows signs of its age. The top sliding lid is a bit stiff to open initially but, ok after that! There is a little area of damage, visible on the side (see photo) but its not too bad! Please check the photos carefully to gauge its condition. A great collectible, or just a cool old fashioned pencil case to use every day! Will be posted with tracking. Thanks for looking!!!
