Small turned wooden altar box, old gilding reused, from a religious community. Ovoid profile with dome lid, circular pedestal; entirely manual work, visible traces of turning and beautiful spiritual patina. The object was probably used to preserve small offerings, incense, minor relics or sacred ointments (chrism), common use in sacristies and oratories in the 18th century. Gilding worn in places leaving the primer and verdigris nuances showing, a guarantee of age; old cracks stabilized at the base, consistent with age. Authentic, warm piece, with the simple charm of popular devotions. Dimensions: approximately 21 x 12 cm. religious box, altar box, convent, sacristy, sacred art, votive object, reliquary, incense box, chrism, holy oil, popular devotion, 18th, 19th, 18th, 19th, turned wood.
