A silver mounted cork bottle / decanter stopper with a circular ring finial engraved with silver hallmarks to one side. The silver runs through the cork secured with a silver disc at the base. Hallmarked for London 1845 ( could be 1865) maker possibly Thomas Smily. Please see hallmarks. Measurements approx: Height 7.5cm, Width at widest point of finial 2.7cm, total weight 19.46g In excellent condition: the cork clearly shows some signs of use but is still firm.
