Description:An authentic late-Victorian / Edwardian (c. 1880–1910) electrotype copper relief wall plaque.The scene depicts William Shakespeare courting Anne Hathaway at her cottage. It features a dark finish made to look like heavy cast iron, but it is actually a lightweight, highly detailed pressed copper shell.Condition Details:Genuine antique wear with a century-old patina.The thin metal sheet is slightly warped out of flat.Features a small, jagged old stress tear/puncture hole near the top edge.Minor surface oxidation and paint flaking on the reverse side.Please see all photos for exact condition and the ruler for dimensions.
