Antique Victorian Cast Iron Lion Doorstop, Wooden Plinth

A previous owner has mounted him on a wood plinth - I imagine this was to stop him scratching the Minton tiled floor, then painted it all. Small but very weighty lion to hold back the heaviest of doors.
