18thC Antique Treen Teak Sailmakers Serving Mallet Maritime Sailor Rigging Tool

A well worn short handled teak sailmaker's serving mallet, having a concave blade that fitted over the rope, which needed to be sewed to the canvas. The mallet was used to draw tight the spun yarn or sisal hemp.
