Here is a solid cast iron skillet / plank / maen/ bakestone,which I can remember being used as a child! Traditionally they were placed on your open fires which heated them up like a cooker ring or hob. Back in the day you would fry your bacon & eggs on them,nowadays people tend to use them for Welsh cakes,although they are good for frying a steak on. Beware as they get very hot!
