A decorative Victorian bamboo side table with classic Anglo-Japanese influence, dating to around 1880. The top features a japanned (painted and lacquered) panel in black, which is very heavily worn and distressed but full of character, while the lower tier retains hints of an intricate lacquered foliate design.
