An amazing pair of spelter candlesticks, grotesque old men sitting on their muskets or blunderbusses…. We believe they are late 19th century French, no marks or damage and the are beautifully patinated as you would expect in pieces of this age. They have aged to the colour of old bronze, as spelter does. Very rare in this condition, the only omission is one of the candle cups they have in their hats is missing as you can see in the photos.
