As usual,I know nothing about this apart from info I've hopefully got right from the hallmark? It's a small silver handled knife made in Sheffield, retailed by Chris Johnson & co. then it's makers mark " J.Y ", followed by a crown,lion and a small case " b ". I'm presuming this is Yates brothers,Sheffield,1919,end of WW1.It is well over a century old so expect obvious signs of wear and tear. Please study the photo's carefully and make your own judgement. could even have been used to butter General Melchett's crumpets! (Blackadder Goes Forth). U.K. only .
