A beautifully detailed figure of a dog from the Victorian era.The figure would originally have held a basket in its mouth and served as a carrier for table condiments such as salt.Now a great figural piece or perhaps a desk paperweight. A stunning antique that will be of interest to serious collectors . Lozenge registration mark to base - unable to read the exact details of this.An inscribed symbol on the base which I've been unable to identify. Weight just over 450g.Dimensions approximately 13cms x 6cms x 13.5cms (height).The carrying handle unscrews .
