This silver hallmarked spoon is silver hallmarked for birmingham 1896, by the silver smith Cornelius Saunders & Frank Shepherd. The handle features an intricate design depicting the crown, the number 60 and the heraldic symbols of the United Kingdom, from the top of the spoon these are the Three Lions, The Tudor Rose, The Red Dragon, The Thistle, The Irish Harp and finally The Shamrock.
