This auction is for an Antique Sandwich Glass Lacy Cup Plate, Lee - Rose 258, The Boston and Sandwich Glass Co., c. 1830 - 1840. This cup plate is Lee-Rose #258. This cup plate is listed in "A Guide To Sandwich Glass Blown Tableware, Pressed Cup Plates and Salts" plate #1369 by Barlow and Kaiser, where it books for $32 back in 1993. I believe that this is one of the most appealing Sandwich Lacy glass patterns offered here with no reserve and a Buy It Now. DIMENSIONS: This example is 1/2" H. x 3 3/8" Dia.. CONDITION: The cup plate is in very good condition with two scallops chipped offand minor nicks to the rim. The glass also exhibits some wonderful flaws found in the early glass of this period such as; sand, bubbles, straw marks and striations.
