This is a 'primitive' portable oven, made by a local smith. Hand beaten copper. The brazed seam, cramped seam connecting base, style of rivets and simple ribbon style handle all authenticate this to an unknown date in the early 1800's. There is no tin lining so esentally used for dry baking. I've been told this is worth around the £200 mark. base 26 x 18 x 7cm. (Handles and lid excluded from these measurements). fantastic addition to farmhouse kitchen.
