A beautifully aged jug, dating from the late Victorian. Created entirely of copper, with a large spherical bodied, sturdy curved handle, fluted spout and ribbed banding details. Altogether making a tactile piece of copper ware. The entire surface has acquired a rich patina, giving it a deep, burnt orange glow, lightly polished to increase its shine. A few dents circle the base and one on the body, but still sits firmly and overall increases its look of age. It still has its original tin lining, which can be seen coming up the inside of the spout, however I’d recommend using it purely as a decorative piece. Height - 21cm/8.1/4” Diameter - 14cm/5.1/2” Width with handle - 16.5cm/6.1/2” Thank you for taking a look.
