An authentic antique plant stand, it has been in the family for several generations. It is believed to have been crafted from an oak post of a four poster bed. The post is nicely carved not turned and there is a long steel bar running through it. The top has stains and marks as you would expect from watering plants. There is an old crack (see photo) in the post section but it is part of the patina and looks to be old. The feet are very solid and make it very stable so its suited to plants like the aspidistra which was popular in the 20`s and 30`s. It is 24 cm across the flats of the top and the base is 34cm from the edge of one foot to the edge of the opposite side. The height is 87 cm. It weigh just over 5KG.
