Antique Neoclassical Writing Desk Bois de Violette XVIII Century Original. Neoclassical open writing desk in bois de violette, with maple trim. Stamped underside. Top with green leather insert and brass moldings. Front with five drawers, one central and two on each side, with internal secret drawers, and a drawer under the top on the right side. Conical legs with brass cup feet, wrought and gilded bronze escutcheons, oak interior. Minor losses. France, second half of the 18th century.
