This antique metal tag is inscribed with "SEABORNE COAL CO", "1 CWT". The tag was likely attached to a hundredweight sack of coal. There are signs of corrosion on it, as you would expect for an item of this age. My research suggests that the coal company had offices in Paddock Wood, Kent. My family lived nearby, so I would imagine that my late dad picked it up locally. Please see photos for further details.
