Exceptional pair of late 1800s large Egyptian Revival appliqué tapestries likely depicting Cleopatra and Akhenaten with incredible details such as hieroglyphs, the eye of Horus, ank symbology, and Uraeus. Fair to good condition with wear and losses to appliqué throughout. Please review photographs. One hole on Akhenaten tapestry (close up 17th photograph). Scattered stains and age discoloration. Tapestries are comprised of light weight cotton appliqué entirely hand sewn on natural linen and measure approximately 72 inches tall and 27 inches long.
