Large antique bentwood hat box with original leather straps and buckle fastening. Stamped interior with Paris 1900 Grand Prix mark and Russian text. Beautiful aged patina with wear consistent with age. Moisture damage and warping to the lid. The lid edging has some missing. Pictured. The box lid has taken the brunt of the travelling so this is where most of the wear is. Leather belt fastening is good and usable. The buckle is difficult to fasten tightly but it is doable.
