A pair vintage Japanese sterling silver and gilt novelty salt and pepper shakers modeled as ox-drawn carts (gosho-guruma). The miniature shakers are decorated with black lacquer and gold detailing. They feature functional, rotating wheels and typically date from the late 19th to early 20th century.
