This is a pretty rare stool/seat. Not sure what it's original use was but it came from the estate of a collector of railroad and related memorabilia so it could have been the folding driver's seat in a trolley car or a street car or maybe the conductor's seat in a railroad passenger car. Or it could have been used in a factory setting. The seat is 12" diameter and the cast iron part is approx. 20" long
