Stunning illuminated letter O from a late 16th/ early 17th century choir book. Depicting Christ washing the feet of Saint Peter, the other disciples in the background. Painted and gilded on vellum. Probably Italian. Purchased from an auction in Holland years ago. The piece is in good condition for its age. Framed and conservation float mounted. It measures approximately 16 cm x 16 cm. In good condition for its age with some wear and discolouration.
