Rather unusual ornate cast bronze with masterly embossed decorations, and a large flower relief on the inside of the lid. Red silk lining very well preserved. Box is very heavy for its size: 11x10 x5 cm (4.3x3.9x1.9 inches); weight 725 grams/1.6 pounds.
